With the increasing connectivity of air crafts, Security becomes an important topic for Avionics. This webcast will discuss the relevant Security assurance objectives and show how the DO-356A allows to build a bridge to a regulatory framework serving the IT sector: The Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC). Furthermore, we show how related classes of the CC can be reused and a significant portion of tedious rework for already existing and certified software packages can be avoided.
